These fall reads are great for the cooler nights and warm blankets!
With the temperatures finally reaching a refreshing 40 degrees on some nights, I was in the mood to read some fall-themed stories, and these next three books were just what I was looking for. My schedule has been pretty booked as of late, and shorter stories are a winner for me! Plus, I LOVE the cutesy side of Halloween...so onto the fun reviews!

The Town of Halloween by Nicholas Korrow
(Ages 6 – 8)
I found this book to be a good introduction to the classic spooks of the night. It is aimed at younger kids with few words and large picture images featuring artwork, that in my opinion, is reminiscent of early video game-like graphics. Though it has a nice pace and is a fun storyline, I think it is for younger than the publisher has listed.

Room on the Broom Special Edition by Julia Donaldson
(Preschool Age)
This Halloween-themed story is perfect for the spooky season, and includes a rhyming tale of a witch and animal friends. I really liked the ending and found the illustrations to have the cutesy Halloween vibes that only adds to the book’s fun appeal. The version I read was the “Special Edition,” which had a party craft idea in the beginning and a recipe at the end.

Happy Thanksgiving, Snoopy by Charles M. Schulz, Adapted by Jason Cooper
(Ages 3 – 7)
As a fan of Peanuts, and all things Snoopy, this book did not disappoint in giving the classic charm and wholesome message that is a staple in Charles Schulz’s works. What starts out as an unusual Holiday for the beloved friends of Charlie Brown, quickly turns into a Thanksgiving they’ll never forget! I would highly recommend this book for any age.
Want to buy your own copy of any of the above books? I picked mine up at an indie bookshop, but you can also purchase them through any large retailer as well. If you would like to support your favorite local businesses, but they don't have it, just pop on over to Bookshop.org where you can buy any genre book and a portion of the sale goes to whichever bookshop you choose.
Thanks for reading my reviews and see ya next time!
