(Myself at the Tea Festival with this year's sampling cup and dressed in a partial version of Vectra Tillerman's attire from my book.)
I had a great time at the Tea Festival this past weekend! My talk was scheduled for 10:00 am on Friday, as I debuted the first novel in my Vectra Tillerman series, Written Wings. During the presentation, I took the opportunity to demonstrate an Assassin's Teapot to the group and read a short excerpt from my novel. My books were available for buying through the Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop, who handles the sales for all the literary chats at the festival.

But I wasn't the only author there; as three of my fellow writers had talks scheduled for noon on Friday, and the same two times on Saturday as well.
Alex Erickson, author of the Cat Bookstore Cafe Mysteries, followed myself on Friday, as part of his launching of the first in his new series, A Pose Before Dying - A Cat Yoga Mystery. The shop even sold out of his Death by Tea!
The following day, Mindy Quigley was celebrating the release of Sleep in Heavenly Pizza, the fourth in her Deep Dish Mystery Series. She even has a self-published historical fiction series, the Lindsay Harding Mysteries, that were also a big seller.
When the clock struck noon on Saturday, author Geri Krotow gave a talk on her Kielbasa Queen Mystery Series and her Shop 'Round the World Mysteries. Given that the weather has already started to turn, and fall was in the air, the Christmas-themed installment of her Shop 'Round the World Mysteries was very popular.

After the day was done at the festival, three of us were able to meet up afterwards to eat out at a local restaurant. I was delighted to go, as it was the first time another author had asked me to join them. While I did have to be back at the festival bright and early the following morning, I stayed as long as I could before heading out.

Overall, it was a great weekend filled with many laughs and smiles. I'm grateful to Susanna at the Rosemary House for having invited me to be one of the authors this year, and I look forward to chatting with all you readers again real soon.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you at the next event! #teafestival #books #cozymysteries #actionbooks #yabooks #steampunk #mystery #author #authorslife
