FAQs About My Books

What Age Are My Books For?

My books are for middle school readers and up.

Now, while I do say that a thirteen-year-old may enjoy my stories, don’t be mistaken that my plots are simple, by any means. I say that pre-teens and teens can read them because they are clean mysteries; but my target audience is young adults and adults alike.

I love to read middle-aged stories, and despite a number of people trying to spread the message "that any adult can read any aged book," some people still have this notion that adults have to read adult-labeled books. Read what you want to read, and not what the world tries to tell you to read.

“No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”           - C.S. Lewis

How Much Research Goes Into My Stories?

Each of my books begin as a seed in my mind; whether it be from something I saw during the day, or while conducting research for a different story I am currently working on. Regardless of how it starts, I end up doing so much background-checking, that my bookmark tabs scroll a mile long, and my "To-Be-Printed" list grows every week. Between internet searches, books, and videos, I try to do my best in creating authenticity within my story plots.

That being said...they are still works of fiction.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”           - Eleanor Roosevelt

Who Does My Covers?

All of my covers are designed and illustrated by myself (no A.I. used). As an artist, I enjoy putting the elements of my stories into the covers of my books, and create ones that truly resonate with my style. There is a lot of thought given to each of my covers, because people still visually pick books with their eyes first.

"Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and torment."           - Claude Monet
